BANGALORE, MARCH 15. Opposition members staged a walkout in the Legislative Assembly today expressing their displeasure over the absence of senior officials during Zero Hour. The Leader of the Opposition, B.S. Yediyurappa, said the officials are not serious about the proceedings during Question Hour and Zero Hour. The Government had not initiated action against any of them for not being present in the gallery. Members of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Janata Dal (United) and the Kannada Chaluvali Vatal Paksha member, Vatal Nagaraj, walked out of the House. The Speaker, Krishna, told the Government to issue a circular to all departments to ensure the presence of senior officials during the proceedings of the House. Later, the Minister for Industries, Infrastructure and Civil Aviation, P.G.R. Sindhia, said the Government would ask the Chief Secretary, K.K. Misra, to issue one more circular to all the heads of departments in the matter.
