LUCKNOW, MARCH 15. The ruling Samajwadi Party and its ally Congress today blamed the BJP for stalling the proceedings in the state legislature only to ``ruin'' the democratic system and to ``ignore'' the people's problem. Samajwadi Party leader and State Parliamentary Affairs Minister, Mohammad Azam Khan, reacting to BJP's role in both the Houses, maintained that the government would not bow to any pressure and the Assembly would continue as per schedule upto March 29. Describing yesterday's incident when the BJP State unit president, Kesharinath Tripathi, provoked the Leader of Opposition and BJP Legislature Party leader Lalji Tandon to leave the House, Mr. Khan said it was unfortunate that such things were happening in the House. However, Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Pramod Tiwari said the action of the BJP members in the House was undemocratic and charged both the BJP and SP with being hand-in-glove to cover up each other's scam. Meanwhile, Mr Tandon while defending the party's role in the House said raising the demand for CBI probe in several scams was the right of the members. --UNI
