CHENNAI, MARCH 15. The Sruti Foundation Awards honoured three eminent personalities at a function here today. The awardees, dance master K.J. Sarasa, Carnatic musician P.S. Narayanaswamy, and educationist Mrs.Y.G. Parthasarathy, were presented a citation and a medallion each. Presenting the Vellore Gopalachariar Award to Mr. Narayanaswamy, Carnatic musician S. Rajam, appealed to veterans to pass on their knowledge of Carnatic music to young, upcoming musicians . Prof.C.V. Chandrasekhar handed over the E. Krishna Iyer Medal to Ms. Sarasa while Ms.Anita Ratnam presented the M. Venkatakrishnan Memorial Award to Mrs. Y.G. Parthasarathy.
