CHENNAI, MARCH 15. Two auto drivers were killed this evening when a speeding van rammed into a stationary auto rickshaw at a mechanic's shed in Perangulathur on GST Road in the southern suburbs. Peerkankaranai police identified the victims as Selvam (30) and Siva (28). The two had taken the auto rickshaw to the shed located close to GST Road for repairs. A mechanic was attending to the vehicle along with the two auto drivers when the speeding van, belonging to a private courier company, crashed into the auto rickshaw. Selvam died on the spot. Siva and two others working in the shed were seriously injured. Siva later died in a hospital.
