Bhajan Lal's son made Deputy CM

CHANDIGARH, MARCH 15. The Haryana Chief Minister, Bhupinder Singh Hooda, today appointed Chander Mohan, son of the State Congress president, Bhajan Lal, as the Deputy Chief Minister and gave the Finance portfolio to Birender Singh, a contender for the Chief Ministership.

The allocation of portfolios among the 10-member Cabinet, which was sworn in on March 10, was made after Mr. Hooda's detailed consultations with the Congress high command. — UNI
