MESCOM announces power shutdown schedule

MANGALORE, MARCH 15. Mangalore Electricity Supply Company (MESCOM) Ltd. has announced power shutdown schedule on various days for local power feeder lines, effective for a month starting from Wednesday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Maintenance works under the Accelerated Power Development and Reforms Programme have necessitated the power shutdown.

On Wednesdays, power supply will be affected in areas receiving power from the Ashok Nagar feeder originating from the 33/11 kV Kulshekar sub-station. The areas include Akashvani, Kadri-Kambla, KSRTC, Lalbagh, Nanthoor, Pintos Lane, Karangalpady market, Kudmul Ranga Rao Road, Aloysius ITI Road, Light House Hill Road, Bejai, Museum, Bejai Church Road, Bejai Cross Road, Bejai New Road, Anegundi, Saibeen Complex, Circuit House and adjoining areas.

On Thursdays, the areas receiving power from the Marigudi feeder originating from the 33/11 kV Kankanady sub-station will not have power supply. They are Pandeshwar, Subash Nagar, Monkey Stand, Mangaladevi, Mullihithlu, Morgans Gate, Marnamikatte, Valencia and adjoining areas.

On Fridays, power supply will be affected in areas receiving power from Falnir or Attavar feeders originating from the 33/11-kV Kankanady sub-station. They are Highlands, Sturrock Road, S.L. Mathias Road, Kaprigudda, Melinamogar, Falnir Road, Vas Lane, Balmatta Mission Compound, Avery Junction, Hotel Moti Mahal or Nandigudda, Vaidyanath Nagar, Attavar, St. Joseph Nagar, Kankanady, Attavar, KMC and O.C. Block will not have power supply.

On Saturdays, the areas receiving power from Kodialbail/Bunder feeders origi- nating from 33/11 kV Kulshekar sub-station will not have power supply. They are Kadri, Bunts Hostel, Light House Hill, Shivabagh, Arya Samaj Road, Nanthoor, Karavali Lane, Mallikatte, George Martis Road, Kadri, Kaibattal, Kadri, Temple Road, Kadri Pumpwell, Bendur Well, Balmatta, Hampankatte, Pumpwell, Kankanady by-pass, Jyothi, Milagres Cross Road, Kudumbi Garden.
