HYDERABAD, MARCH 15. The charred body of an unidentified man was found inside a car in the Keesara police station area on the city fringes on Tuesday. Though the owner of the burnt car, Ch. Rambabu (49), a four-wheeler mechanic, went missing from lasts night, the police said it was premature to conclude that the body was that of the missing man's. "We have registered a murder case as there is little scope for the victim to commit suicide by setting afire himself inside a car," the Malkajgiri ACP, P. Prabhakar Reddy, said. A pair of burnt slippers, an umbrella and some cigarette butts were found at the scene of crime. Rambabu's family members recognised that the umbrella belonged to him and the cigarettes butts were of the same brand used by him. As this evidence was not adequate, the police had decided to conduct DNA fingerprinting test to establish the victim's identity. Forensic doctors collected samples of the body. The same would be compared with the blood samples of Rambabu's mother and brother, Mr. Reddy said. Rambabu had left his A.S. Raonagar house around 7 p.m. on Monday. He called up his wife on the latter's mobile an hour after midnight asking her to take care of children.
