HYDERABAD, MARCH 15. As part of its efforts to provide more comfort and safety to pedestrians in the twin cities, the Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad (MCH) called for expression of interest (EoI) from private parties for construction of foot overbridges at eight locations on Tuesday. The bridges are likely to come up at Liberty, Dilsukhnagar, Madina, Rasoolpura, Khairatabad, Abids (near Grammar School), Necklace road (near NTR Gardens) and Ameerpet crossroads on a design, build and transfer basis. Interested firms should have experience in handling at least one similar project anywhere in the country on BOT basis. The first stage of construction will involve short-listing of bidders based on the EoIs submitted and detailed proposals will then be called from the short-listed proposals, according to a senior MCH official.
