BANGALORE, MARCH 15. A 14-year-old girl was injured when she was hit by a stray bullet reportedly fired from an air gun in Byatarayanapura police station limits on Sunday afternoon. The police said that around 12.30 p.m. on Sunday, Sathya, daughter of Perumal, was fetching water from near an aluminium factory at Ambedkar Colony in Pantharapalya on Mysore Road. A stray object hit her in the left arm, causing an injury. She was treated at a nearby hospital. When the pain did not subside, she was taken to Victoria Hospital on Monday. A scan revealed the presence of a bullet. The doctors, who removed the bullet, opined that it was fired from an air gun, the police said. The Byatarayanapura police have registered a case.
