Kalki's daughter passes away

CHENNAI,
MARCH 16.
Anandi Ramachandran, 72, Tamil writer and daughter of the doyen of Tamil literature, Kalki Krishnamurthy, died here this morning after a brief illness.
When Kalki passed away in 1954, it was left to Anandi to complete the serial, "Amaradhara," started by her father. She went on to author several works including a novel, Malaicharal Madhavi. She wrote several articles on her father and essays on Indian art and culture. She served as a dance teacher in the Kalakshetra for several years.
Anandi was an active member of the Authors' Guild of India. She is survived by two daughters and a son.
