HYDERABAD, MARCH 16. The controversy regarding the setting up of a modern laboratory by the Centre for DNA Finger Printing and Diagnostics (CDFD), next to Osmansagar lake, has been remitted to the Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board (APPCB) by a Bench of the High Court. The PCB had rejected the proposal as it was within 10 km radius of the drinking water lake, which was upheld by the appellate authority.
The Bench, comprising Chief Justice Devinder Gupta and Justice B. Seshasayana Reddy, remitted the case to the PCB saying that certain reports from technical bodies had not been considered.
