NEW DELHI, MARCH 17. The Company Law Board (CLB) today declared the results of the poll relating to the appointment of R. S. Lodha, P. Majumdar and Vikram Swarup as directors at the annual general meeting of Birla Corporation Limited, the flagship company of the M.P. Birla group held in Kolkata on September 15, 2004. On an application filed by minority shareholders, associated primarily with the B. K. Birla group of companies under Section 397 and 398 of the Companies Act, the Chairman of the CLB, Balasubramanian had on September 14, 2004 restrained the company from declaring the results of the elections. The CLB in its order today got the sealed cover opened and declared the results that Mr. Lodha, Mr. Majumdar and Mr. Swaraup had been elected as Directors.
