Letters to the Editor
Sir, The acquittal of the two main accused, Ripudaman Singh Malik and Ajaib Singh Bagri, in the Kanishka bombing case which claimed the lives of 329 people aboard an Air India plane in 1985 has come as a shock to the relatives of the victims all over the world. The verdict is a victory for terrorism in Canada and the world. It is a clear case of justice delayed and denied.
Md. Mudassir Alam,
* * * Sir, The prosecution can go in appeal only if it is able to establish that the judge erred gravely. The chances of that happening are very bleak. The victims' families will have to nurse their wounds forever, with the added heartache that nobody has had to pay a price for snatching away their near and dear ones so cruelly. Nothing can be more unfortunate.
K. Ambuja Ramesh,
