Good news?

Sir, — The report that savings account holders may be spared the proposed tax on cash withdrawals is heartening. But how can the Finance Minister call it "good news" for the people? A relief in the existing tax structure alone can be good news. Proposing hard measures and then rolling them back cannot be good news.
