Dry weather likely in T.N.

CHENNAI, MARCH 18. Dry weather prevailed over Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

On Thursday, the maximum temperature fell at one or two places over Kerala, Tamil Nadu, rose at one or two places over Coastal Karnataka and changed little elsewhere over the region.

They were appreciably above normal at a few places over Coastal Karnataka, at one or two places over Tamil Nadu, above normal at a few places over rest Tamil Nadu, south coastal Andhra Pradesh, at one or two places over Rayalaseema, South Kerala and were generally normal over the rest of the region. Cuddappah recorded the highest maximum temperature of 40 degree Celsius in the region.

The minimum temperature rose appreciably at one or two places over south coastal Tamil Nadu, south interior Karnataka, rose at one or two places over Andhra Pradesh, fell at one or two places over rest Tamil Nadu and changed little elsewhere over the region.

FORECAST (valid until Sunday Morning): Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over Kerala and Lakshadweep. Mainly dry weather will prevail over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

Forecast for Chennai City and neighbourhood (valid until Thursday morning): Partly cloudy. Maximum temperature will be around 33 degree Celsius and minimum temperature will be around 24 degree Celsius.

Farmers weather bulletin for Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry Forecast (valid until Sunday morning): Mainly sunny weather will prevail over Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry.
