Indira Goswami to write `crucial' letter to ULFA chairman

GUWAHATI, MARCH 18. Assamese litterateur and Gnanpith award winner Indira Goswami says she would shortly write a "crucial" letter to the United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) chairman, Arabinda Rajkhowa, as part of her efforts to bring the militant outfit to the negotiation table.

Ms. Goswami said the ULFA chairman had recently provided her a new e-mail address. Expressing the hope that ULFA would respond to her efforts, she said both the Centre and the rebel group would have to adopt a give-and-take policy to start talks.
