Fall in humidity

Gannavaram airport recorded a maximum temperature of 36 degrees

Celsius and a minimum of 21.1 degrees Celsius on Friday. Humidity dropped from 75 per cent in the morning to 45 per cent in the evening.

Commodity prices

Following were the rates (in rupees per kg) of essential commodities in the local wholesale market on Friday, according to the Vijayawada Chamber of Commerce and Industry: Groundnut oil-49, palmolein oil-40, sunflower oil-48, tamarind (flower variety)-21 to 26, tamarind (karipuli variety)-39 to 46, chillies-18 to 23, (refrigerated)-18 to 20, rice (2716)-13, rice (super fine)-14, rice (sona masoori)-16 to 17, rice (samba masoori)-15 to 16, black gram-21.80 to 24.20, red gram (Desavali)-21, (Pandiripalem)-23.25 and (Nagpur)-25.25.

Yoga camp

The Pranadata Yoga Seva Kendra will organise its 15th camp at the conference hall of Hotel Paradise on the Congress Office Road, from March
