KOCHI, MARCH 18. The special squad wing of Ernakulam Excise today recovered an idol of a deity weighing 14 kg from a private bus plying on the Kumily-Cherthala route. The idol was found as a parcel item being sent by courier to Ernakulam. It was later handed over to the Oonukal Police station authorities. The police are probing the case.
Five arrested
The Police today arrested five persons in connection with several theft cases. The arrested include Mohammad Saddique, 31, Latheef, 30, Najeeb, 32, Sreekumar, 23, and Ansar, 23.
