Journalists' sports meet begins
GUNTUR,
MARCH. 19.
The two-day sports meet for journalists of Guntur district was inaugurated at the NTR Indoor Stadium here on Saturday by the Inspector General of Police, T. Krishna Raju. More than 100 scribes from all towns in Guntur district participated in several track and field and indoor events.
Every game has its rules and so does reporting, the IG told journalists.
The VGTMUDA Chairman, Malladi Vishnu, the APIIC Chairman, Ambati Rambabu, the Zilla Parishad Chairman, Pathuri Nagabhushnam, the APSRTC Satavahana Regional Chairman, Jogi Ramesh, played a game of shuttle badminton to formally inaugurate the meet. The APUWJ president, O. Venkateswarlu, presided over the inaugural.
