Clear skies

CHENNAI, MARCH 21. The sky will be mainly clear on Tuesday. The maximum and minimum temperatures will be 34 degrees Celsius and 24 degrees Celsius. On Monday, Nungambakkam recorded maximum and minimum temperatures of 33.7 degrees Celsius and 24.9 degrees Celsius. The readings at Meenambakkam were 34.2 degrees Celsius and 24 degrees Celsius respectively.

Humidity at Nungambakkam and Meenambakkam stood at 75 per cent and 77 per cent.

Power cut

Power supply will be suspended on Wednesday in parts of Pallavaram East and West between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. for maintenance work.

Crash course

A crash course for Maths, Physics and Chemistry in CBSE syllabus would be conducted in April and May for students who have appeared for tenth exams.

The course would be helpful in preparation for AIEEE and entrance to BITS. Regular courses for CBSE students from tenth to Plus-2 and state board Plus-2 students would also be started shortly.

Bank shifted

The Bharat Overseas Bank has shifted its T.Nagar branch to Thegaraya Road, Pondy Bazaar.

The chairman and chief executive officer, G.Krishna Murthy, said shifting of the branch was necessitated for the convenience of clientele.
