BANGALORE, MARCH 21. The Federation of Districts Women's Associations, Mandya, has criticised the serial Jagalagantiaru and its director, Phani Ramachandra, for portraying women in a bad light. Sowbhagya Mahadev, federation secretary, told presspersons here on Monday that the Government should take steps to take the serial off the air or to change its name. "The serial depicts women as always fighting and conspiring against each other and gives a wrong message to people. The name of the serial is also derogatory," she said. The federation representatives have threatened to organise a protest demonstration in front of Vidhana Soudha if the Government fails to take action against the makers of the serial within a week.
