JIPMER employees stage fast

PONDICHERRY, MARCH 22. Employees and workers of the Centrally-administered JIPMER (Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research) today staged a fast near the institute in protest against the move to convert the institute into an autonomous body.

Leaders of various political parties addressed the staff expressing support to the agitation.
