Eveready to set up plant in Uttaranchal

CHENNAI: The directors of Eveready Industries have approved a proposal to set up a factory in Uttaranchal for the manufacture of dry cell batteries with a capacity of 400 million pieces annually at an estimated investment of Rs. 60 crores. The project will be implemented over the next 18 months, says a Bombay Stock Exchange release.
