Letters to the Editor
Sir, This refers to the editorial "Restoring the balance" (March 22). While the Constitution has laid down that the judiciary, the legislature and the executive should not encroach upon one another's powers, there should be some intervention mechanism. But it is also true that the Supreme Court exceeded its limit in Jharkhand. In this context, the President's caution to legislators against using dubious and undemocratic measures to put together a government makes sense. It is for legislators themselves to rise above politics.
B.C. Unnikrishnan Nair,
