Buses for PoK being readied

JAMMU,
MARCH 22.
Four buses which will ferry 30 Muzaffarabad-bound passengers till Uri on April 7 are being given final touches. From Uri, the passengers will walk and cross the Line of Control into Pakistan occupied Kashmir and take a bus to Muzaffarabad.
The bodies of the four Ashok Leyland buses are being prepared at Gangyal on the outskirts of the city. They arrived here from Jaipur last week. The exteriors will have the colours of the National Flag. The 19-seat buses, purchased by the Jammu and Kashmir Road Transport Corporation will have air conditioners. Music system has also been installed in them.
Sunil Kohli, owner of the workshop readying the buses, said: ``We were given the contract to prepare the body of the buses and decorate them. Our work is in the last stage and it will be over on March 28 before they leave for the Valley on March 29.''
The drivers of the four buses are closely supervising the work at the workshop. One of them, Ghulam Nabi, 30, said: ``I feel proud that I would take the first batch of Pakistan occupied Kashmir-bound passengers.'' Khurshid Ahmad, another driver, said:
