KOZHIKODE, MARCH 22. A VAT cell to clear doubts about the Value Added Tax (VAT) that is being introduced in the State from April 1 has been opened in the office of the commercial taxes department. It is for members of the public and representatives of organisations representing the merchant community. Enquiries regarding VAT would be answered by Sales Tax Officers, V. Vasudevan (telephone number 2771788), K. P. Sivanandan (2365260) and C. Ramachandran, Agricultural Income Tax Officer (2770144).
