Indians rule the roost

NEW DELHI, MARCH 22 . India took all three podium positions through Amardip Singh Malik, Simarjeet Singh and Vikram Rana in the Sri Lanka Amateur Golf Championship played over the weekend at the Royal Colombo Golf Club.

Amarjeet carded three under par for an impressive tally of 281 to emerge winner while Simarjeet finished runner-up aggregating 283 and Vikram Rana, a private entry, finished third in the competition held from March 16 to 19, a press release said here on Tuesday.

Chirag Kumar and Jasjeet Singh, who comprised Team `B' of India, won the International event by six strokes beating Sri Lanka `A'. — PTI
