Stir hits banking operations

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM,
MARCH 22.
Banking operations in the city were affected as bank employees went on a strike in response to a call by the United Forum of Bank Unions for a nation-wide agitation to protest the reforms in the banking sector. The forum claimed that the agitation by bank employees was a resounding success. A release issued by the forum here today said employees of the Reserve Bank of India, NABARD and district cooperative banks also participated in the strike.
