THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, MARCH 22. Ten school officials were placed under suspension today in connection with the SSLC question paper leak.
Inquiry
Action against these officials was being taken following an inquiry at the department level, according to a Government press release. The suspended officials are superintendents and deputy superintendents of two schools in Pathanamthitta district and one school each in the districts of Kannur, Kozhikode, and Kollam. They officials include P.T. Baby and L.P. Joseph (Nirmala Higher Secondary School, Chemberi, Kannur); P. Rajendran and N.K. Viswanathan Nair (Government High School, Kokkallur, Kozhikode); S. Geetha Kumari and Thomas P. Thomas (NSS Higher Secondary School, Kaviyoor, Pathanamthitta); K. Omana and Sreedevi Amma (SNDP Higher Secondary School, Chenneerkara, Pathanamthitta) and Radhamma and M. K. Raju (KPM Higher Secondary School, Cheriyavalinallur, Kollam). The Minister for Education, E.T. Mohammed Basheer, today told the State Assembly that swift action by his department had helped bring out tampering with the question paper packets at these five schools.
