KOLLAM, MARCH 22. The budget for 2004-2005 of the district panchayat presented today shows revenue of Rs. 84.35 crores and surplus of Rs. 35 lakhs. The budget was presented by the vice-chairman of the Finance Standing Committee, R. Ramachandran, at a committee meeting presided over by the district panchayat president, Aiysha Potti. Total drinking water supply programme occupies top priority with an allocation of Rs. 5 crores.
