TIRUCHI, MARCH 22 . The Kaveri Medical Centre and Tiruchi District Tuberculosis Society has got up an exhibition on tuberculosis here on the occasion of World Tuberculosis Day here on Sunday. The Mayor, Sarubala R. Tondaiman, the chief guest, urged private hospitals to organise more such awareness campaigns. The Managing Director of the KMC Hospital, S. Chandrakumar, said the hospital would serve as a Designated Microscopic Centre, through which, sputum positive TB patients could get free medicines from the Government Hospital. The staff of KMC had volunteered to take part in the Directly Observed Treatment programme.
