VIJAYAWADA, MARCH 22. The Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission, Montek Singh Ahluwalia, and D. Nageswara Reddy of the Asian Institute of Gastroentorology, Hyderabad, will be conferred honorary doctorate at the 26th convocation of Acharya Nagarjuna University, scheduled for March 24. Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, the university Vice-Chancellor, L. Venu Gopala Reddy, said the Governor, Sushil Kumar Shinde, who is also Chancellor of the university, would be chief guest. Mr. Reddy said 17 scholars would receive Ph. D degrees and 49 scholars would receive M.Phil degrees. In all, 76 students would receive gold medals while special prizes would be given to nine others.
