CISF continues to nab guilty at airport

NEW DELHI, MARCH 22. Highlighting corrupt practices by licensed vendors at Indira Gandhi International Airport here, the Central Industrial Security Force nabbed a trolley retriever of M/s Sindhu Holding Limited on the charge of selling mineral water bottles at 33 per cent over their sale price to a foreigner at the HPMC Counter in the arrival lounge of the International Terminal late last night.

The accused, Navin Jha, had sold five water bottles to the foreign passenger for Rs 100 instead of Rs 75. However, he was apprehended by Constables Pravindra Singh and A.K. Yadav and handed over to the IGI police station for necessary legal action.

Meanwhile, in another incident the driver of an Indica car, who had hit an employee of M/s Areal Services, Surinder Singh, in front of Blue Dart Cargo last evening, was nabbed by CISF personnel in front of Terminal 1A of the airport. As the victim had suffered injuries in the leg and had to be referred to the Spinal Injury Centre in Vasant Kunj, the accused, Krishna, was handed over to the Palam police station for legal action.

Late on March 20, the CISF had also nabbed a man who was moving around Departure Gate 2 of the International Terminal in suspicious manner. The accused, Vinod Kumar of Mahavir Enclave, Delhi, was handed over to the IGI Police Station for further investigation as CISF suspected him to be a bag-lifter or a thief of mobile phones.
