BANGALORE, MARCH 22. A security guard reportedly stole seven laptops and computer hardware, worth Rs. 7 lakhs in all, from a private company in Koramangala 7th Block on Sunday night. According to the police, the accused, Raju Singh from Assam, who had joined a private security agency at Konanakute recently, was posted to Ediquity Carriers Technology Private Ltd. four days ago. He allegedly stole the articles on Sunday night. The Chief Operating Officer of the company, R.S. Menon, noticed the theft on Monday and filed a complaint with the police.
Twins abandoned
Five-day-old twins were found abandoned in Vani Vilas Hospital on Monday evening. The police said a woman got herself admitted to the hospital on March 11. A few days later, she underwent caesarean section and gave birth to a boy and a girl. On Monday evening, the two infants were found abandoned. According to Makkala Sahayavani, under whose care the children have been placed, the mother had not entered her name in the hospital register but had only said she was a resident of Vijayanagar. The baby girl is in good health but its twin is in the hospital, according to the organisation.
Gold chains stolen
Gold chains were stolen from two women who were sleeping near windows, in separate incidents reported in Vijayanagar police station limits in the early hours of Tuesday.
