BANGALORE, MARCH 23. R. N. Institute of Technology defeated MSRIT 80-72 in second extra-time in a hard-fought encounter in the State-level engineering colleges basketball tournament here on Thursday. RNSIT topped the round with an all-win record to emerge the champion. Abhilash of RNSIT was adjudged `best player' of the tournament. The teams were tied at 58 at the end of full-time and at 66 after the first extra-time. The deadlock, however, was broken in the second session of extra period as RNSIT managed an exciting win.
