Summer special trains

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, MARCH 23. With a view to clearing the extra rush of passengers during the summer season, Southern Railway will be operating 24 special weekly trains between Ernakulam Junction and Dadar via the Konkan route.

Train No. 165 Dadar-Ernakulam Special will leave Dadar at 12.45 p.m. on Saturday and will reach Ernakulam Junction at 4.45 p.m. the next day. Train No. 166 Ernakulam-Dadar Special will leave Ernakulam Junction at 11.45 p.m. on Sundays, to reach Dadar at 3.45 a.m. on Tuesdays.

The first service from Dadar will commence on April 9 and from Ernakulam Juction the following day. The last service from Dadar will be on June 25 and from Ernakulam Junction, on June 26.

The special trains will stop at Aluva, Thrissur, Shoranur, Kuttippuram, Tirur, Kozhikode, Koyilandi, Vadakara, Mahe, Thalassery, Kannur, Payyannur, Kanhangad, Kasaragod, Kankanadi, Suratkal, Udupi, Bhatkal, Honnavar, Kumta, Karwar, Madgaon, Karmali, Thivim, Sawantwadi Road, Kudal, Kankavali, Ratnagiri, Chiplun, Roha, Panvel and Thane.

These trains will have one two-tier AC, one three-tier AC, 10 sleeper class, two general second class and two luggage-cum-brake van coaches.
