UDUPI, MARCH 23. The Director of the Local Board of State Bank of India (SBI), Gujjady Prabhakar Nayak, on Wednesday said the SBI has not made any proposal to merge Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts with the Hubli module of the Karnataka Circle of State Bank of India. Speaking to The Hindu over telephone from Bangalore, Mr. Nayak said the Regional Manager, who, hitherto, had his headquarters in Bangalore, would now be posted to Mangalore. The Regional Manager would be operating from Mangalore itself, he added.
