Around the City

Partly cloudy sky forecast

The skies will be partly cloudy on Thursday. Rain or thunder showers likely to occur towards evening or night according to the weather forecast for Bangalore. The maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 35 and 22 degrees Celsius respectively. On Wednesday, the city recorded a maximum temperature of 35 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 22.8 degrees Celsius. The humidity was 34 per cent. At the airport, the maximum and minimum temperatures stood at 34.1 and 22.2 degrees Celsius respectively. The humidity was 33 per cent. There were traces of rainfall both at the city and airport.

Design entries

Rotary Bangalore Midtown, as part of the Rotary Centennial Celebrations, plans to put up 3-D sculpture or monument at Queen Victoria Circle, Mahatma Gandhi Road. Eye screening camp

Shraddha Eye Care Trust and Nethradhama Super-specialty Eye Hospital is conducting free eye screening and surgical IOL camps organized by "Lions Club of Greater Jnanabharathi" on March 26 at Sri Sai Dispensary, Sri Sai Mandiram Road, Girinagar, and on March 27 at City Hospital at no. 25/91, West of Chord Road, Rajajinagar 2nd Block, between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Patients found fit for cataract surgery will be operated at the base hospital free of cost.
