GUNTUR, MARCH. 23. Nine persons died in different accidents in Guntur district on Wednesday including three near Sattenapalli in a lorry mishap. Three persons died on the spot when a lorry proceeding towards Piduguralla, tried to avoid collision with a tractor and rammed into a tree near Venadevi, close to Sattenapalli town in Guntur district on Wednesday evening. While one of the dead driver of the lorry, Radhakarishna (35), of Machilipatnam, was identified, another driver of the lorry, P. Ramesh, ran away from the accident site. Two other passengers in the cabin are yet to be identified, the Sub-Inspector of Police, G. Lakshmaiah, said. The Circle Inspector of Police, M.V. Subba Reddy, is investigating the case. Two persons died at Obulnaidupalem, one at Sanjeev Nagar in Guntur city late in the night, one at Piduguralla, one in Gurazala, and another in Medikonduru.
