The columns show maximum and minimum temperature in Celsius, rainfall during last 24 hours (tr-trace) and total rainfall in mm since Mar. 1, 2005. Dry weather likely in north T.N. CHENNAI, MARCH 24. Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu. Mainly dry weather prevailed over coastal Andhra Pradesh and south interior Karnataka and dry weather prevailed over Rayalaseema, Telangana, Coastal and north interior Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep. Cheranmadevi (Tirunelveli dt.) recorded 2 centimetre rainfall. On Wednesday, the maximum temperature rose at one or two places over Tamil Nadu, fell at one or two places over Telangana, Rayalaseema and changed little elsewhere over the region. They were appreciably above normal at a few places over Tamil Nadu, at one or two places over south coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, coastal Karnataka, above normal at a few places over rest Tamil Nadu, rest south coastal Andhra Pradesh, rest Rayalaseema, Telangana, south interior Karnataka, at one or two places over Kerala and were generally normal over the rest of the region. Cuddapah and Nandyal recorded the highest maximum temperature of 41 degree Celsius in the region. The minimum temperature fell appreciably at one or two places over Telangana, Rayalaseema, north interior Karnataka, coastal Karnataka, fell at a few places over rest Telangana, at one or two places over rest Rayalaseema, south interior Karnataka, rose appreciably at one or two places over south coastal Andhra Pradesh, rose at one or two places over north coastal Andhra Pradesh, south Tamil Nadu and changed little elsewhere over the region. FORECAST (valid until Saturday morning): Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over south Tamil Nadu and Kerala and mainly dry weather will prevail over north Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Lakshadweep.
