Jeev tied at 17th spot

NAGOYA (JAPAN), MARCH 24. Jeev Milkha Singh shot six birdies and five bogeys to card one-under 70 in the first round of the 100 million Yen Token Homemate Cup at the par-71 Token Tado Country Club golf here.

Jeev playing his first event in Japan this calendar year is lying tied 17th with two locals — Hiroyuki Fujita and Takahiro Takahashi — sharing the lead with five-under 66 each.

The first event of the Japan Tour was held in December last year as a co-sanctioned event with Asian Tour.

Jeev had finished tied second after leading well into the final round. — PTI
