Uthiah leads Bangalore's assault
CHENNAI,
MARCH 24.
Mid-fielder Uthiah led the assault for Bangalore against Bengal in the opening match of the State Bank inter-circle tournament on Thursday with a tally of three goals.
Bangalore triumphed 7-0 in a pool D encounter. Vijayan, Ravi Navalgi, C.S. Poonacha and Akram Basha scored one each for the winner.
Chennai also had a comfortable time against Bhubaneswar, recording a 7-0 success in a Pool B match. Cedric D'Cruz did the star turn for Chennai with three goals. Kingston (2), Muralidharan and Kamalakanan were the other scorers for the winner.
