Gaurav Dhiman slams century

CHENNAI, MARCH 24. Defending champion Tamil Nadu was struggling at 246 for seven, in reply to Karnataka's first innings tally of 450, on the second day of the three-day final in the P.S. Ram Mohan Rao Trophy under-25 cricket tournament at the ICL-GNC ground on Thursday.

Earlier, Gaurav Dhiman cracked a 96-ball 122 (16x4, 6x6) and put on 109 for the eighth wicket with Udit Patel to help Karnataka, resuming at 287 for six, move into a dominating position.

The scores: Karnataka 450 in 120.4 overs (B. Chipli 88, S.N. Ameeth 66, N. Niduvan 33, S. Binny 33, G. Dhiman 122, U. Patel 28, R. Ashwin three for 49) v Tamil Nadu 246 for seven in 57 overs (S. Vijeysarathy 45, S. Vidyut 44, S. Siva 26, E. Suresh 65, U. Patel three for 88).
