Rupee bounces back
MUMBAI,
MARCH 24.
The rupee today bounced back smartly against the U.S. currency on late exporter dollar sales after sentiment got a boost due to a fresh slide in global oil prices even as the dollar maintained its robust strength in overseas markets. Arresting a three-session decline, the rupee closed at Rs.43.7450/7525 a dollar, sharply higher from Wednesday's one-month closing low of 43.79/80 and a smart rally from early lows of 43.82/83 following a resurgent dollar overseas.
