GULBARGA, MARCH 24. The Chief Minister, N. Dharam Singh, today categorically said the Samajwadi Party will not have any impact on the Congress in the State. However, the decision of the former Chief Minister S. Bangarappa to leave the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and join the Samajwadi Party will have a disastrous effect on the BJP, he said. Talking to presspersons at the helipad at the District Police Headquarters here, Mr. Singh, in reply to a question, said no senior Congress leader would join the Samajwadi Party. To another question, Mr. Singh said the Congress will not have any truck with the Samajwadi Party in the State. He said two more Congress Ministers will be appointed after the current legislature session. Similarly the chairmen of boards and corporations will also be nominated after the session. To a question, he said the three-judge panel, set up to look at infrastructure available for the Circuit Benches, will be visiting Gulbarga and Hubli tentatively on Saturday and Sunday. "I had requested the High Court Chief Justice to send the team to both Dharwad and Gulbarga on March 26 and offered a helicopter for their travel to both the centres on a single day."
