THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, MARCH 24. The Malayalam feature film `Moksham,' directed by the national award-winning filmmaker Rajeevnath, has been selected to the Indian Film Festival 2005 to be held at Kuala Lumpur in the first week of April. The film, which is all about a mother and son, features Anoop Menon and Jagathy Sreekumar, besides Zeenath Aman, the heroine of many a Hindi film. `Moksham' (salvation) is, in fact, her first film in Malayalam. Rajeevnath had won the Golden Lotus for the best director in 2000. His filmography extends from `Thanal' made in 1976 to the English film `Mama' (2001) to the latest work `Moksham' made in 2004. At the award ceremony to be held at Kuala Lumpur on April 3, Rajeevnath and several other filmmakers from India, including Mrinal Sen, Aparna Sen, Buddhadeb Das Gupta and B. Lenin are to be honoured in recognition of their contributions to Indian cinema.
