CHAMARAJANAGAR, MARCH 24. The zilla panchayat President, Bharathi Nagaraj, today flagged off a jatha to mark "World Tuberculosis Day'' here. Addressing the gathering, she urged the health authorities and non-governmental organisations to organise programmes to create awareness among the people on controlling the disease. The programme was organised by the district administration, zilla panchayat, District Health and Family Welfare Department and the District Tuberculosis Control Association at the District TB Prevention Centre. The taluk panchayat President, Boraiah, presided over the function.
