HYDERABAD,
MARCH 24.
Two Bills relating to courts were introduced in the Assembly on Thursday by the Endowments Minister, M. Satyanarayana Rao.
The first Bill provides for appointment of vacation judges to deal with matters of urgent nature during the 55-day vacation of period of the district/sub-ordinate/city civil/small causes courts in a year. It is also for appointment of vacation judges for the 45-day vacation period of all junior civil judge/munsif magistrate courts etc.
The Bill seeks to amend the AP (Telangana) Small Causes Courts Act. The second Bill seeks to enhance the appellate side jurisdiction of the district judges and chief judges from Rs 3 to 5 lakhs by amending the AP Civil Courts Act of 1972 suitably.
