NEW DELHI, MARCH 24. The Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh, and the Pakistani President, Pervez Musharraf, are scheduled to jointly meet their cricket teams at the Ferozeshah Kotla grounds when the last one-dayer is played on April 17. The Prime Minister and Gen. Musharraf, who will arrive here on April 16, are also expected to watch the game together for some time, informed sources in South Bloc told The Hindu today. The Prime Minister will be hosting a meal for the General, who will also call on the President, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. There had been no meeting between Gen. Musharraf and the then President, K.R. Narayanan, when the Pakistani leader last visited New Delhi and Agra in July 2001. New Delhi also seems to be open to the idea of a meeting between Gen. Musharraf and the United Progressive Alliance Chairperson, Sonia Gandhi, if a request is made.
