PATHANAMTHITTA, MARCH 24. The District Tuberculosis Control Society here observed World Stop TB Day in various hospitals in the district today. The District Panchayat President, K.K. Royson, inaugurated the district-level function at the District TB Centre at Kozhencherry. The District Medical Officer, N. Damodaran, presided over the inaugural meeting. The District TB Officer, Kurien Oommen; the hospital superintendent, C.C. Babu; and the society member O.G. Koshy spoke. An interaction with people cured of tuberculosis was held as part of the celebrations, Dr. Kurien said. He said a seminar on TB control was held at the Adichippuzha tribal settlement near Ranni. A function was also held in the taluk hospital in Thiruvalla.
